I’ve seen your face before
Somewhere in a dream perhaps
I know your heart
I understand your pain
I’ve been looking for you
Searching all my life
And now that I find you
I learn that you and I
Can never be
Feelings that I struggle to overcome
Keep hold of me
Emotions that I’ve pushed aside
Keep surfacing
Every time I think about you
Tears fill my eyes
Overwhelming loss surrounds me
envelopes the memory
We called us
And your face fades
To become a memory
And nothing more
